A bit of fun - WORDLE. (NB, US spelling!) No spoilers please

Standard 4 today but what was unusual was no greens until the solve and that was only because I couldn't make up any other words with what I had left 1Y, 1Y, 3Y, 5G.

Not quite. Sure what you mean but I think that’s effectively what I did today. In “hard” one usually has less choice but when I blamed the first line I used a word with all the 3 missing vowels knowing it would be unlikely to be the winning word.
I did the same yesterday - by guess three I had 4G. I tried a 4th guess and failed.... then used a word I knew was wrong, but used all but one of the other possible letters I could think of, and that gave me the answer on my 6th guess - phew!!

Today was much easier with a 3 for me :D
I thought my stats looked interesting today.... for one day only....

2 today. Very lucky first line left only 2 possibles (wordlebot agrees) and for once I chose the riight one :)

A rare 2 for me today. xyxyg and a moment of thought!

... and I thought I had done so well, that will teach me to be smug! :D

1G, 2Y
5G
Funny thing is that I’ve had a run of blanks with my usual starter lately and before entering it today I thought “by the the Law of Averages* I should get a lot of non blanks today” and it happened

* Yes, I know that’s rubbish but …

NYT jacked up my subscription from £2 to £4 today so I cancelled as too expensive. They offered £2 with Games subscription thrown in which obviously I accepted. But its a nuisance as I preferred the limited Games access of the old sub  .

Poor start but recovered to 4 today. Slightly tricky assortment of letters.

Phew for me!

xgyxx, xgxyx, ggxxx, ggxxg but then I had a complete mental block for some reason! Tried an all new word, fishing for a missing letter before the obvious answer smacked me round the face!!! Still, a solve's a solve.

A 5 today but I struggled just to find letters 1Y, 1G, 1G which I managed to turn into 2G and with more than half the alphabet discarded I could only come up with one word (which I'm pretty sure they've used before) 5G.

As I said (I don’t think it was a spoiler) “Slightly tricky assortment of letters”!

4 for me. Nearly a 3 but went for the "tricksy" option first...

Blank, xggxx, gggxx, solved.
