A worrying 5 for me! My heart rate was going up!
 
5 for me too.
 
6 today ... bit of a struggle. At the last guess I was left with 2 options :thinking: ... I guessed the right one

1Y, 1G, 1G, 4G, 4G 5G .. solved
 
3 here, got lucky on first letter green and another Y to start, ommited a good bunch of letters in first 2 guesses.
 
A totally predictable 4 for me!
 
A surprising 2 here, had the last 2 green with one yellow in the middle, bit of a lucky guess then to get the 2.

24 win streak now, I really don't get why people are creating bots to assist with such a simple game?? I'm liking it as a bit of a brain awakening in the morns, cannot imagine why you'd ever need help!

As for the NYT ... we'll see how that goes but if they do stick the puzzle behind ad-walls I'm out.
 
After a 6 yesterday back to my normal 4. 1G 1Y, 1G 2Y, 2G 2Y, 5G.

Blimey 2 for me today - and the thing was that I was in two minds as to whether to use the word of the day for my first guess!!

Do you guys have a standard opening guess? I tend to go for "voice" or something else vowel heavy.

Part of the 'fun' for me is using a different word every day, I keep in mind the most common consonants are R, S and T though.
 
Add in an I and an E and you have my usual start word.

Similar - I have my “pool” of words that will let me cover the all vowels, “Y” and common consonants in 2 guesses and tend to just rotate between them for my first guess.
 
5 today, back to the real world after my 2 :D
 
4 again 1Y, 2Y, 4G, 5G. A good guess at 3 narrowed it down and luckily I picked the right one.

Four different unused letters at the same position would have worked for the 3rd guess - got lucky and picked the right one (for once).

One of my golf buddies uses "WHOLE" as his first guess. It's so that if/when it comes up, he gets a whole in one... (His joke, not mine - I'll hand him his coat tomorrow!)
 
The wife got the hump with me beating her today, so has retaliated with a maths version of wordle.

So now after my morning wordle, I now have to nerdle.

3 today. 1st word got me 2Y, lucky 2nd guess was 4G and a trip down vocabulary lane left just one option!
 
5! Frustrating game, but I love it ;)
