A bit of fun - WORDLE. (NB, US spelling!) No spoilers please

4 for me today. Not a word I use often but I do use it sometimes. Hear it more than say it TBH.
 
Lucky 5 today. 4 bad guesses followed by a good one, 2Y, 2Y, 1G 1Y, 2G, 5G.

I was surprised at yesterdays word, I was sure it was a girls name, not a burger thingy!
but, as mentioned it is an American site, should have thought out of the box :(

As I said above, we use it reasonably often (at certain times of year) here in the UK in my other hobby.
But I agree it is not common currency here.
Shame on me it took me 5 to get it.
 
3! 1y on the first guess, a g with a new 2nd and an unusual stroke of luck for #3!

It was the culinary use (burgers etc.) that gave it to me.

What happened with me is that I got AT on my first line but had seen your reference to “girl’s name” so PATSY or PATTY. seemed obvious and I plumped wrongly for PATSY, being I think the commoner name :(. Both words have alternative meanings, at least in ‘American’ unrelated to names ㋡
 
I usually avoid any potential spoilers/hints/clues by going straight to Wordle before anywhere else (a couple of other forums I look at have similar threads [but are far worse for spoilers! THANK YOU ALL!!!]) I also tend to do it early, before Mrs Nod wakes up (if I'm awake early, naturally...) and as quickly as possible to try to wake me up. I reckon that adds at least one to my guesses every morning! :P
 
5 today 1G, 3G, 3G, 3G, 5G, just so many options after my second guess it was a case of elimination as many letters as possible and hope to get lucky before running out of attempts.

Me too but by chance I was late and already read the thread and as I said earlier, it wasn’t really a spoiler just happened to chime with what I had.

My first word I started with was BATTY, then tried Matty and thought the burger Patty on 3.

Ah, I didn’t think of Matty which could also be a girl’s name — though Mattie more likely?

Now that it is out in beekeeping in the spring we give colonies pollen patties to boost their protein when lots of larvae need feeding.

4 today shoulda coulda woulda have been a 3 but I went for the more common word, 3Y, 1G 2Y, 4G, 5G.
