Thanks for the advice and great info in all the posts above. As someone else has pointed out as well as in this thread why not get the 5dII for the low noise + video plus point and get the 1D3? This is an idea i had already thought of and would actually be a great setup to have however what are the going prices on 5dII with grip at the moment, im guessing another £700 on top of my current 5d.
I would like the 1d 3 because it is a bit bigger and you dont need to get a grip for it, does all the things i would like, except the video, the video itself doesnt play a large factor in my question, it was a nice to have. I think it would go well in weddings however i know full well that this would only be through my own choice to add video to the shoot, the client certainly wouldnt expect it.
