Thanks Paul unfortunately the execution leaves a bit to be desired!Good thinking!
210mm handheld at 1/5 second was never going to be sharp! Still if I only put my successes up I don't think I would post much!A little let down by the difficult conditions but it's an excellent idea.
I could not possibly comment ......................................................................!Not so distant from a few people in the Hot topics section, though thinking about it that's a little unfair to gorillas.
Thanks Helen, I did not want to bin all the photos and I thought this one had really sad eyes. You've done well under the circumstances and have captured a rather poignant expression. Nice one.
Now that picture was a really great one, if very sad,Fits the theme and I often find plans don't work out
Whenever I see pictures like this it reminds me of the picture of Ndakasi and her keeper
Thanks Simon, we are traveling to North Wales in September, with your post about Cardiff last week and now the Wales ape and Monkey sanctuary, I am seeing a plan come together. It is always one hell of a ride to NW from Cornwall in a day. maybe a overnight stop is in order!I was at the Wales ape and monkey sanctuary last week - and came away with nothing in terms of shots. Too tricky in their runs and always seem to hide behind something! You did well to get this shot

That is kind of you Peter, I think he has a sad, distant look in his eyes.Great shot. As well as being a distant relative it has a distant look in it's eyes.
Thanks Keith. (did not realise we had the same mother in law!Great idea for the theme, (reminds me of the mother in law)
Thanks Graham I think your being too kind, the more I look at it the less I like it!Given the conditions, that's an excellent result.
Thanks BillWhat a great take on the theme Roger, good one!
Thanks Dave, I was sat down enjoying the sun when this fellow chanced along, luckily I had the camera with the right lens right next to me.That's a cracking image for fragile Roger, beautiful butterflies and a good clean BG.
Captured that moment in time, fragile it is
Three fragile items in the one shot looks like a strand of web coming off the Flower.
Thank you for the kind comments, sorry about the late reply been enjoying myself with an old friend, this weekend and not been keeping up with the forum.Beautiful Roger. I like the image a lot.
Robust by R Hillman, on Flickr[/URL]Thanks Adam it was a really lucky shot, didn't even have my macro lens with me just a telephoto,Love the week 19 close up for Fragile. I love the macro / close up view that shows the other inhabitants of the world in detail.
Thanks Bill I love the sea stacks at Bedruthen Steps It makes me chuckle at what an idiot I was, I just kept walking that few hundred yards further to get a better shot! Wasn't chuckling when I had the angina attack trying to walk back up the cliff with no heart spray!Nice shot Roger, your commentary made me chuckle...![]()
Thanks Pete, this 52 thing is turning into a extreme sport, one year I trapped myself in a sea cave, then I fell into the sea at -3 now I go and do what I am always shouting at bloody tourists about, going out unprepared! One very big robust rock.
Well done for staying the course when the attack came.
Thanks Helen I really do find it funny now, im always getting on my soapbox about people who go out unprepared.Your story made me laugh until I read about your angina attack. Glad you're okay. I have been going away on photography holidays with 4 friends for 15 years now and three of us now look for more "easy access" locations. We're not mountain goats anymore!
Thank you David.Nice take on the subject.
