No
Hummingbird Hawk Moths.

Has 2 in the house in a week. Only ever seen one before, and that one had the good sense to depart through the window from whence it come :-)

The last 2 became victims of the electric bat of death. (tonights did burst into flame though. Note to self, no large moths on the bat!)

Next it'll be Stag Beetles....Oh joy.

What big buggers bugs do you get in the house?

Didn't attach anything either!

I see the box in the post, but if I click edit, there's nothing to edit.

T'weren't me sir!

Nothing major has come in mine yet, i have a lot of fields surrounding me and i certainly expect a spider or 2:eek:

The only amusing thing was a few weeks back, i have one of those dark tunnel/passageway thingies between mine and next doors and there is a swallows nest in one of the corners, apparently it's been coming back and building it's nest there for the last 40 years, anyway, the front door was open and a baby swallow mistook our house for the passageway, flew in the hall to the kitchen turned around and went back out lol

We are watching Endeavour on TV and there's a blooming huge moth in the screen. Daughter says,"get rid of it, dad!"

Nah, I say.

Tempted to get my camera out but my wife will cuff me if I do :)

Cheers.

I don't mind spiders. Got a HEEUGE one in the conservatory....call him Boris.
I get birds in the kitchen all the time too, cheeky beggars. They come looking for goodies if the feeders get empty

Moths are the one thing that freak me out.
Well....and wasps.

I wish i didn't hate spiders, i can name them and get the kids talking to them but i do squeal and run still..

moths don't really bother me, except the one that decided to shower with me this morning...it was small but still scared the hell out of me lol

With any luck your'll soon be getting a few scorpions in, that are apparently alive and well,
and living down your way.
They'll soon take care of the rest of the pests for you

I really don't get the fear of bugs etc, its not like we live in van diemen's land where pretty much everything can kill you

That's why phobias are irrational.
Doesn't make them any less real.

:p

So long as they aren't winged, I'm golden :-)

This thread is no good without pictures :p

In Italy we see moths as visiting spirits of dead loved ones, so as much as they creep me out i never kill them.

what you need are a couple of feline friends, they're excellent at pest control.

however the trail of destruction is a bit of a down side.

Plus, they're. ...you know....cats :puke:

Ox fan?

We've got a few spiders around in the conservatory but few insects. From time to time the old, dusty webs get Henry'd up but otherwise they're left to their own devices. Neither of us particularly like spiders but no real phobias. Not had any baby birds in here yet this year, although there seems to be a certain amount of Sparrow activity in the ivy just outside (which the cat rather enjoys. [Rather too much!])

Interesting fact, I never knew that

When I had felines, it wasn't the "bits" everywhere, that I minded
so much as the piles of puke everywhere, with the indigestible bits sticking out.
Charming creatures cats :D

Well ok, he's not THAT huge

A tree in front of my house usually attracts cockchafers (thunder bugs) at high summer. They're like Sherman tanks with wings on as I could hear them clattering blindingly against my hobby room window on a still and warm August evening.

The damned grubs make a mess of your lawn too, unsociable bloody things!

So THAT's why my lawn does tend to look rather sickly looking at this of the year, although I think it's more likely the drought-like conditions as well as the salty sea air that is causing it.

Bitch!:p:p although i did have to drag him around a few times but then i stopped when i thought he might come after me and do the same lol:LOL:

Woof woof :D:p
