2 in a week???

So THAT's why my lawn does tend to look rather sickly looking at this of the year, although I think it's more likely the drought-like conditions as well as the salty sea air that is causing it.
Your location / conditions probably doesn't help matters Ian,
But I bet they play a large part in it too!
I've seen a lush lawn go brown and patchy in a couple of weeks due to the little buggers!
HERE's a little background

So THAT's why I have this fox coming in and digging little holes in my lawn! He was after those grubs. Actually, the council owned tree (don't know what it's called, all I know it produces lots of red berries in the early Autumn) that has been attracting the cockchafters doesn't look very well. It's about 60 years old, same age as my house, and it's hardly producing any leaves this year, I think it's dying. Either that or it's got that wind blasted in the past winter as after all I do live at quite an exposed coastal location.

Anyway, I'm rambling on. Again.

The tree, a Rowen (Mountain ash) Perhaps?
And yep foxes will dig for grubs too!

If it's a Rowan...can I have a seedling? ?

Just googled up Rowen tree - and yep, that is the very one. Used to come out all looking lovely and green in the summer and then produces trillions of red berries in the early Autumn. Now it is looking quite ill and straggly with lots of bare looking branches covered with lichen, I'll be sad to see that go as that does provide some privacy.

2 in a week? Reminds me of the old "sexual ages of a man" joke - tri-weekly, try weekly and try weakly...
