192mph driver jailed

I'm surprised there are any roads in Nothants that could sustain those speeds TBH.

But yeah the ban does seem a bit strange.
Maybe there is more to it?

M1 near Northampton services if quiet got a very long straight. A car like that will get up to speed very quickly.
Road works and 50 mph average speed camera's before J16- and after J19 you would be a total moron to try that there
There is the A5 of course but a ton would be dangerous to say the least.

Made me chuckle that the songs he was driving too made the news as much as his speeds!

I never saw the news, but I'll take a wild guess at "Born to be wild" and "Radar love"?
Possibly "highway to hell? or "bat out of hell" ? :D

Haha nope northants chron posted it wasn't me by shaggy and lady in red :D

Ironic :D

WTF? :D

Yeah exactly.. The first one yes but the need to mention the lady in red, seriously why is that relevant...unless I'm missing something and there's go faster messages hidden in it :D

Like all good satanic hidden messages, you have to play it backwards to understand :D

Shame that they are not eligable for the Darwins....

I hope he's as fast in the prison showers as he was on the road.

The thing is how did the idiot get caught? all they had was a recording of a speedo and some voices. He must have confessed big time. Why not just go "no comment" what a clown! LOL .:jawdrop:

The article says he pleaded not guilty and was tried in a crown court so he must have been found guilty by a jury.

There are plenty of stretches of the A45 where you can reach ~150mph in the right car if the road conditions allow (traffic, weather, visibility). Personally I wouldn't fancy it at night though but during the day and in the right conditions.... Yes please! But it's not legal in England and anything over 100mph is an automatic licence loser. But these two clearly have no idea what they are doing except going for numbers on a speedometer - Dangerous! And playing music as well!!? I never play music or radio when driving.

This is on a fast stretch I know in Belgium and very funny. The Z4 sounds very nice but Henri's R32 is awesome!....

If you search the guy's name it seems he was actually 'in trouble' for growing cannabis, dealing cocaine and laundering money. I'm sure the prison sentence is more to do with that than the speeding.

A warning has been given for this post
She's quite nobbable from the video.
You should send her a nice photo of yourself, perhaps posing next to a lake, with a caption expressing "no need for ballbags in landscape photos". I'm sure she'd get the joke and love you for it (y)

Boo hoo! :dummy1:

The sentences they got will be based on guidelines for dangerous driving and nothing else.

These muppets unfortunately will end up never killing themselves but more likely an innocent party.

Glad prison was the sentence

Honest what a bunch of thundertwunts, seriously people like that I'd ban them for life from driving anything that wasn't limited to 75mph

5 mph and require him to take a test for walking shoes.

looks like the daughter almost takes takes out another driver within seconds of flooring it on the a45

I thought her ban was related to the video of her speeding too?

IIRC it was reported for inciting dangerous driving, although that vid indicates her doing 190mph....

If you read the bit in the Northants police video linked to above . . .

The second part of the footage showed Jordan entering the drivers side of a Nissan GTR. She is then believed to have switched into the passenger side of the car and encouraged the driver, before the car reached excess speeds.

Looks like they couldn't definitively prove that she was actually driving so decided to throw the book at her for inciting dangerous driving instead.
While I'd agree a 2 year ban for simply being a passenger and encouraging the behaviour seems harsh, in those particular circumstances it seems fair enough to me.
