Hi, in Kaiserslautern/D ... (SONY A7R2 - VOIGTLÄNDER 5,6/12 f 8 ; crop) :

I was in Kaiserslautern to take pics of a car event. I needed a cam with AF for that. After the vent, I went into town for a walk. For architecture pics, the VOIGTLÄNDER
was and is most convenient. I use the SONY app for lens correction. In the Fred Miranda forum there is a thread adapting M mount lenses to the NIKON Zf.

Because of the thinner sensor stack, it is said to perform quite well with M mount lenses. I am happy adapting just occasionally on my SONYs ...

(50mm was a little too long this time. One is too far away from the cars and the mobile shooters are often in the way. One has to be quick. An AF cam is easier to live with.

I get a press badge, which gives me 2 hours of fewer disturbances. But then the general public comes. On Sunday I took my SONY A7R2 and the FE 1,8/35.

The SONY performed well. However, the AF had difficulties when focusing chrome car details occasionally. )

Hi, ... (M9 - ZEISS Distagon 1,4/35 f 2,8 ; crops) :

(With a 35mm lens I can and have to move closer to the subject. To obtain the same DoF as a 50mm lens, however, I have to open it more. This is not possible on sunny days
because the max shutter speed of 1/4000 of the M9 is not sufficient ... )

@Adam Bonn, you pictures are seriously sharp, love the first picture.

Whilst I love my M9s I am very reluctant to take them on my Dartmoor Photowalks if rain is forecast (I usually rely on my Fuji X-T2s) but latterly I have taken to risking my D-Lux 7 as an extra on such walks. This week rain was forecast (although I didn't actually get wet) so I was out with the Fujis and the D-Lux tucked in a plastic bag, here are 2 from the D-Lux.

Hello all,

This is my first post on the forum and would appreciate some advice from existing Leica owners.

I am looking to purchase an M11P and want to pair it with a 35mm lens - I am currently between three choices:

35 Summicron
35 APO Summicron
35 Summilux

Has anyone had experience with these lenses and offer any views on what they would go for?

Appreciate any help!

Welcome to this friendly forum !

Of the lenses you mention I only have the Summicron (non.-asph). This I can recommend having used it since 1989.

It performs well, is compact and has a nice bokeh.

(My other M mount 35s :

Leica Summarit 2,5/35

ZEISS Biogon 2/35

ZEISS Distagon 1,4/35

VOIGTLÄNDER NOKTON 1,2/35 v1

I listed to show that I can evaluate the Summicron relatively ... )
