I've always been told panning is best at around 1/125 and slower for more experienced panners? Plus if your using faster shutter speed, it freezes too much and looks like the action is still or somewhat. Now that I think about it, drifting is more faster back end hence why possible blur, but...

That sounds hard for drifting cars? Means I have like only a split second to capture that point constantly? I shoot with a 70-200mm f2.8 L IS lens and was told to use centre point with AI Servo

Guys, I'm having some issues (I've noticed as of late) when capturing car stuff, I have a lot to learn with panning etc, but I've noticed when capturing cars facing around 30/45 degrees to me i.e. drifting sessions. Shooting using Tv mode at 1/125 speeds, so apertures are usually around f11...

Sounds a bit complicated... guess I have to upgrade and reinstall from scratch at some point, just more comfortable doing that on a PC

Have you not got hold of the 3G app that checks the amount of data downloads you use? I've the Sony Xperia X10 android mobile, which is cool, but the timescape feature with all social network integration absolutely steals data bandwidth and has downloaded a lot, think over 100mb within a week...

You have to weigh up if the iPad is worth it or not compared to the soon to be released android based tablets, with talks of usb ports and cameras on board too. Saying that, iPad is cool and slick... still sucks that they lack flash support

Used to till I no longer have a parcel shelf... pretty much the majority of my work is shot using hipstamatic app on the iphone ;)

Last time I did this was at F1 testings, used a 2x extender with my 70-200 f2.8. That was when I had the 40D, plus on my 5D I slapped on the 24-70mm for some normal shots. Pretty much my wedding get up back in't days :)

I'll report back once I figured out how to set the wireless up properly via ftp rather than going through manual download through EOS utility :)

ARGH!! Still can't get this thing to work other than remote EOS viewer... defeats the object as I need the files to download as I shoot, grrr... 7am start, still need to test lighting set up, but need to get this file transfer to work, grrr!!
