Not really very helpful but I was looking for the same battery a while back, cheapest I could find was a bout £4 a pop. Went to Poland on holiday and tried my luck there (didn't have much choice), got a replacement for a zloty (20p). Happy days.
That's 120 and 135 format, they've only come up because they have 220 in the product code.
There's some on ebay. Here's a place selling a 5 pack of Portra for £75!

I used Photo Express recently, really can't knock the price or turnaround time but I don't think the scans are that great. High res but they seem quite noisy/pixelly, especially when viewed at 100%. I have ASDA scans which look better to my (untrained) eye.
Got the results from my first roll of transparency film today (Sensia 200). The slides themselves are lovely but the prints and scans both look way too bright. Scans in particular just look pap in comparison.
Oh well, here's a picture of a van on fire.
Had a look at ebay? I got a Praktica MTL3 + 58mm lens for £12, half of that was postage though. If you could get something at a funny hour or free collection then it could be very cheap...
Very true, as has been mentioned it makes sense to call first! I took a gamble on my nearest one and thankfully they still do film... would have been a bit peeved after a hilly 5 mile bike ride if they didn't.
Forgot to mention the ASDA service I got was 1 hour (they were actually done in less than that). Scans are about 1800x1200, quality is not great to be quite honest but for the price/convenience it will certainly do for snaps.
For 35mm try supermarkets. ASDA do a roll developed and scanned for £3. Think it's £2 for dev then £1 per roll scanned to CD. You can have multiple rolls (up to 4) per CD. Can't imagine supermarkets do 120 though! Check out the 'film developing in the UK' sticky, most lab sites have prices on there.
I think you might be right, is it worth opening it up for a look/fiddle d'ya reckon? Found a couple of guides for disassembling but maybe I'll be better off just muddling along until I find a better one for sale.
