Not sure, mixed bag I think, a lot of photographers would like to use primes but it's the cost that holds them back, in these hard'ish times IMO.

Thanks gman, thats a raw file, just resized for the forum using lightroom 4.1, also found using the D800 over my old D3s that with such large file's you have to be spot on with focus, I have dumped many OOF images.

Thanks Dougie. FlashP, your right about set up, for a few weeks I kept going back into the menu's and tweaking here and there, pp is not bad, if you take your time you can tweak the hell out of the files.

CS5 with camera raw 6.7, CS6 Beta, or Lightroom 3.6 or 4, Aperture for Mac has been updated inc Nikon D4/D800/Canon 5D Mklll.:)

There will be one file that lightroom can't read so it won't load any of them, hope you don't have many file's because when it happened to me, I imported one at a time, got to number 21 and bingo that was the file, removed the file and the rest loaded as they should, hope this helps.

IMO.. Sport......D3s Weddings/Portraits D700/D800/D800E The D4 is a cracking camera and I would have had one, but do to ageing wrist's it would be to heavy as was my D3s, so I'v gone D800 (when it get's here) :-)

I know it's a mine field out there, but I find Topaz works with my D1 and D1x images well using PS, Lightroom 4 is good with the images..

Works on a Mac, and these images on your web site are excellent, cracking work Dringo ;)

Are you using the centre focus point?

Anyone got a D800E and a link to some images? ordered D800 and paid for it in full, but when it's in (April 10/16th) I can have a D800E if I like.

IMO, I would go the Nikon way, the Nikon 105. f2.8 Macro is razor sharp.
