The New Lomography MC-A. The new AF point and shoot.

With a couple of fixes this will be an instant buy, for me. Just got another Yashica T3 in 'mint' condition. Boxed, as new. Two rolls in, it's skipping frames at random. Just like the other one I had. Olympus XA: I've had 2. Both of them 'MINT++++' jobs from japan. The XA overexposed like...

Canon SELPHY CP1500 Portable Photo Printer

Forgot to mention one thing. Unlike my old inkjet printers it's always ready to go. No clogged heads, no faded colours/artefacts/stripes when left unused for too long or when the inks are running out. It just works.

    Post processing preferences?

Just to be clear. I wasn't expressing a preference for one of the two, that is entirely your choice and my thoughts on it are utterly irrelevant. I was just interested in the link between that quote and your experiment with the two versions of the image.

    Post processing preferences?

I am not too knowledgeable on Garry Winogrand - based on what google images shows me he seems to be in the tradition of the great American street photographers working in natural light and focusing on the documentary value of the scene/people/moment capture rather than any dramatic, sensory...

Canon SELPHY CP1500 Portable Photo Printer

I have it. Best thing ever for quick prints of any good phone shots of the kids. Nice colours and the images haven't faded yet a couple of years on. I use the original Canon paper + inks to go with it. Good purchase. Very fast at printing too.

    Hazard a guess.

I hope there's enough to motivate Harman to keep going with their colour film exploration! They showed off what their R&D team is able to achieve from scratch given 1 year of time, I think it would be great to see what the same team can do given 5 more years and sufficient funding.

The New Lomography MC-A. The new AF point and shoot.

We just overlapped and I was wondering the same!

The New Lomography MC-A. The new AF point and shoot.

Thanks for sharing this. Shame about the overlapping frames - I hope LOMO is watching and coming up with a plan to sort out the issue - because honestly apart from that this camera could be exactly what I'm looking for. Another minor thing that emerges from the samples in this video is the...

    If you could only...........

I don't enjoy Ansel Adams photography but I appreciate and acknowledge his attempt to popularise densitometry (which is just basic physics as you know, and is based on a theoretical framework that existed before Adams). But you're right, a hybrid approach to the zone system is what I've been...

    If you could only...........

I don't disagree, but please re-read that post of mine you quote in its entirety if possible, as well as the original post I was replying to. Whether there is, or there is not, a "gold standard", e.i. "authentic" positive representation of a negative is perhaps an academic concept, is of little...

    If you could only...........

Even for black and white film, which is what I work with, it is entirely possible to achieve a reproducibly fixed, standardised scanning and minimal post-processing workflow to the extent that the major sources of visual variation in the final image are represented in the negative. Exposure...

    If you could only...........

Why are you being so prescriptive? Why it's something you don't enjoy doing, you don't approve of, or perhaps cannot do to a good level of quality "a fallacy"? Just do what you enjoy my friend, and let others do what they enjoy. I for instance enjoy the challenge of what happens before...

The New Lomography MC-A. The new AF point and shoot.

Thank you both for the update. May I ask - how snappy does it feel in operation. Is there noticeable e.g. shutter button lag and or focus lag/focus hunting (in normal light conditions)?

I must...not...yield...I am...strong... @bumper please let us know how the negatives look. The YouTubers/Redditors who put their hands on one seem to think it's great. Only one guy said the frame spacing is a little uneven in their unit.

Exactly What has gone wrong here

I've used that developer before, I found it really energetic. I admittedly didn't play with it too much, but in my tests I got really dense negatives following leaflet recommendations for Acros and Tmax. I would honestly settle with ID11 1+1 or HC110/Ilfotec HC, the latter diluted 1+63 for the...
