The issue with the 900 for me was the need to buy top quality (expensive) glass...maybe one day.

I have the 700 and a 300....and love the liveview for off the hip candids (the pivot's cool). No idea why anyone would want video on them though.

Yep, Chester has good access for glass-free photography, just not a very imaginative enclosure except for close-ups: I've got some pretty ok meerkat shots from there and i expect flickr etc are full of them.
