D7000 hands down. i must say the ISO performance of the D7000 is very good. and the dual card slots, that's a bonus. 9cross type AF points vs 1cross type. D7000 is the way to go ;)

agreed with this. sometimes if one messed up with the exposure, even on 1600 ISO the shot will look like crap.

If it was me, I'd go for 7d straight.

To be honest, I think most wide angle lenses have some corner issues. And for the 16-35, its a fast aperture lens so I think u may want to stop it down to say f9 to get the unsharp corner sharp. And comparing the 10-22 n 17-40 to the 16-35, the 16-35 is a complete winner in my opinion.

hello guys, just a quick question, my D700's back LCD is not functioning. what seems to be the problem? the top LCD is working just fine but i cant view images at all! the back LCD completely shut down. any of u guys had the same problem as i do? need help.

Like what hashcake said, all three cameras are discontinued. So u need to look for used ones. In my opinion, all three cameras can serve u well. But if you are really into serious landscapes, sports, and macro works, there's something for each bit. For landscapes, mostly wide angle lenses is...

I have to au that both systems have their own specialty. What NIKON can offer, canon can't. And it goes the other way around as well. Both have their selling points. But personally I'm a canon fan boy and its hard reading something like this. :p

I took my 5d2 in the rain n even snow n its still works like a charm. Reading something like this, makes me wonder if NIKON is any better.

I'm sorry if I ask this, but is your current gear not good enough for ya? Or u notice some limitations that u can't get over with? Because with that amount of money, u can buy some pretty good lenses.

I agree with this. Try using your dear kit lens first. You'll know what u need after that.

I think the 18-200 is a good lens for everything. U can take Tele shots and also wide angle shots.
