I am considering upgrading my monitor to a Dell Ultrasharp UP 2516D, I know its a good monitor for photo editing but what is it like for general office/surfng etc. Would be grateful for any views from users that have experience with this monitor.

As post processing makes or breaks an image its best to have a workflow, I follow this one (http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/digital-photo-editing-workflow.htm ) and found it to be very good.

The ef 400mm f/5.6 is a fantastic lens, its light to carry, great for birds in flight shots, but it does need good light to keep your shutter speed up when hand held, I love mine :)

You could try cleaning the contacts, if no better try turning camera on with lens in MF

Why dont you put it on tripod, use live view x10 and focus manually, any subject but sky
