    You can now get USB3.0 card readers that will be faster if your PC is so equipped, otherwise i'd just use the built in one.

    It maybe it's their DVD drive is faulty, or could be it just doesn't like the brand of blank dvds you're using.

    This is likely to be made by a Chinese company called Foscam, there are lots on eBay. They work ok for a basic security or monitoring camera. You can access the picture via your web browser so on an iPhone it will eventually time out and switch the screen off, so no good if you wanted it on...

    I have the DS211+ and have no regrets buying it, it's a great piece of kit. I only brought the + model because I got a good deal on it, no real point paying the extra for it unless it's going to be used by many people at once as far as I can see.

    Can get it set up for no extra cost really and can even control it though services like gmail. I agree about the sign written vehicles!

    Beware fake Nikon grips

    He's making some decent money though it seems, that fake you listed sold for £142 +9p&p! The fake grips listed as 'Nikon' from China are only £70, but even then that seems expensive vs the £20 no brand version. All about the same quality I expect.

    Laptop Battery - replacement ?

    I brought an eBay battery for a Toshiba laptop a few years ago, about £35. I'd say it was 'ok'. Never as good as the original battery in it's prime but less than half the price of a new genuine one and did the job. Still working ok when I sold it 18 months later.
