Jessops on the verge of administration

It's called creating a lien. When you hand something in for repair, a car, a camera or whatever else - you create a lien. You create a proprietery interest that lies in the hands of the repairer in this case. It's not your property any longer - it belongs to the repairer. Imagine that...

Camera Rucksack - slightly different from normal

I use the largest Lowepro on the market for trips where I don't know what I want to take (so I take everything), a HPRC Rucksack for when I know what I want to do, and a small pelicase to keep my camera and lens in - which goes with me wherever I go.

    DSLR's all gear no idea!

... only someone from Sandhurst would use this phrase.

Kate Middleton topless photos: with camera phones and drone technology, soon no one w

The only thing I would like to know is what focal length F Stop he was shooting at, those pictures are rubbish. Even I am a better long distance perv that he is.

Does anyone NOT use Post Processing?

Nope, I don't use it. I prefer to use what little skill I have to capture the scene as best as I can within my own limitations, both of my equipment and my own skill. At least I know the picture represents the scene as I captured it, and it is not subject to massive alterations because of my...

Is the constant need to upgrade/blame kit a digital thing?

I get the best I can afford, and once I can perform at a better standard than the equipment is capable of producing then I upgrade. ... needless to say that I don't upgrade anything much.

Have some Wedding Photographers lost the plot

I suppose it comes down to what the party wants, I welcome the newer approach, the departure from the boring stuffy formality is well overdue. If the standard poses are what you want though... well there is nothing wrong with that, at the end of the day they are paying and will expect value...

    Sony A77 or Nikon D7000 for travel/safari

I would stick with whatever system you have already subscribed to, in the case the Sony, and go with the A77 option. Granted, Nikon have a greater selection of lenses, but from what you have said it wouldn't matter how many lenses they have given that both systems have suitable alternatives...

    Camera upgrade confused.com

If it does not do something that you want it to do - and there is something out there that does... then it is outdated.

Where to buy camera shoulder sling strap

A camera thief will generally not be an opportunist - if you leave opportunity in the way of a thief then they will take it clearly. However - what the thief will look for is a person who is carrying a large bag (like a large camera bag), or who is out with their children, or with their...

Camera for beginner - Bridge or DSLR?

Having read your post, I would bin the idea of going for a Bridge, and go straight for a DSLR. The bottom line is, with a DSLR you can program it to be a point and shoot, and it is also a spring board into bigger and better things. Granted - it won't be excellent at all those things, but at...
