A little expensive but the Nikon MC-36 works great.
Also just got the excellent Triggertrap and App, worth a look if you have an iPhone on Android smart phone!
Cheers, Greg
Just bought the 'X-Rite i1 Display Pro' from WEX (with a free shipping voucher from Quidco !). Wish I'd bought one a long time ago and saved all the frustration with over bright displays and dark prints
As per previous advice, with care, pliers and some wd-40 you should be able to free the stud from the existing head. Alternatively simply buy a replacement threaded stud...and be careful not to over tighten ;)
Appreciate the question was about sharpening, but I'd suggest the focus is a bigger issue with the portrait, looks to me like its on the nose and the eyes arent sharp.
Build quality is ok, but not up to Nikon / Canon quality. AF works well which is potentially an advantage depending on what youre shooting.
For macro the full stack gives a very thin sliver of DOF which is of limited value unless you're into stacking.
Shop around the price varies...
I also have a 70-200mm VRII and was looking at the TC-20E III, in truth after the great reviews only hired because I couldn't find one in stock to buy ... but glad I did as there is a very significant (IMHO) impact on focus speed, depends what you're shooting of course ;)

Just treated myself to a new Nikon D3s and a few other bits from Stuart at Digital Depot ... what can I say fantastic service.
Firstly tracking down what can be a difficult body to find at the moment, then topped off with great communication and a great price.
Cheers, GS
