Brilliant, although my chest hurts a bit from laughing...

How to Increase the Performance of Your Canon Kit Lens

A red elastic band would be even quicker, and easier to remove when the "novelty" wore off...

I always clean up after Doggie poops

Near where I live there is a raised bank dividing 2 pavements, and a bus stop. Once our dog decided he would climb the bank and turn to give a bus load the best possible view of what he was doing, which was a little embarrassing...

    Your best client birefs

I used to work at a local rag and although sexy is debatable, I can tell you there will no problem getting them to look moody, most had an axe to grind about something...

If you wanted something making - metal wise - where would you go?

A local machine shop should be able to knock up one of those in a lunch hour, not a difficult job. If you could source the raw material beforehand it might make their job easier. Anywhere with a metal working lathe.

    Filter advice

I used the Cokin Z pro on my 40D and found it very good, especially as I could reverse the holder when I used my 10-20. As has been said, surely the results are what matters?

night shift - anyone got coping strategies?

I've done nights for the last 11 years and I can't cope with the odd day shift now... I always stay up as late as possible the night before, and stay in bed as long as possible. I feel rotten if I sleep during the day so I view it as a 24 hour window, if I'm driving and expect to be home at 8...

    D90 Owners Thread - Anything D90 related

Great thread, something to keep me busy reading during my night shift. In the meantime, can anyone recommend a reasonably priced remote shutter release. I'd prefer wireless over IR and cabled and have seen the Yongnuo RF-603. Are they any good? Cheers

    Tripod - what's a "necessary" cost please?

I have the same one and have used it with a gripped Canon 40D with 100-400L and it was solid as a rock. I chose it on the advice that extending the column introduces a source of shake, and this tripod is tall enough for me to use without doing that (actually it's a bit taller than I can use so...

    Being without a camera.

Last year I sold my 40D to help fund my wedding, and bought a second hand Powershot G10 to fill the void left. Didn't feel right, missed the immediacy of the DSLR shutter. Just jumped ship to Nikon and feel much happier having a DSLR back in my life (and grubby mitts).

    Hello!

Hi, I'm Simon from Cornwall. I've recently come back to owning a DLSR after about a year or so of being without (due to selling it to fund my wedding). I used to own a Canon 40D but I've just gone and bought a Nikon D90. It's all a bit different so I may end up posting silly questions, please...
