IR filters: Kood vs Hoya....any comparisons?

Thanks all, I'd been loking at a 77mm screw-in Hoya, then getting step-downs to my other sizes. I'd considered using the Cokin P system, but my experience with thispreviously was that threre was some light leakage around the filter which gave some fogging; the scre-in filters alleviate this...

IR filters: Kood vs Hoya....any comparisons?

Does anyone know of any comparisons between the Kood and Hoya R72 IR filters? Other than the roughly £50 price difference (for the 72/77mm size), is there much between them in terms of light cut-off and optical quality? Anyne have any shots taken with a Kood II filter that they could...

    HOYA POLARIZING FILTERS

I have both Hoya and Kenko Pro1D filters and I'm as sure as I an be (without doing extensive testing) that they're the same. They certainly look and feel the same and both are branded as having the same coatings, ultrathin glass, low profile frame and same construction. (Naturally, this...

    Non-standard multi-panel canvasses?

Does anyone happen to know of a printer that does non-symmetrical canvases split across several panels? A colleague at work is looking at canvasses split into 3 panels, with a 25/50/25% split, rather than the more common 33/33/33% split, possibly with one of my images on it. Can't find...

    ND/Grad Filters HELP!!!!

Both Lee and Hitech have filter holders designed for UWA lenses and do threaded rings up to 105mm with thier 100mm filters range, though they are a tad expenside (Lee >> Hitech). The 85mm filters, however, have rings that stop at 77mm.

    ND/Grad Filters HELP!!!!

Would a set of Hitech 100mm ND grads not be an appropriate option? I'm guessing hte 85s will be just a tad too small?

    canon outlet

I'll second this. I bought a Canon ip4200 from them a while back, which was DOA. Initially, their support line was very helpful but it soon degenerated. Despite the claims on the website regarding refunds etc, it took me several weeks and numerous 'phone calls to obtain an RMA and sort out my...

    UV filters

Sounds like you have procured yourself a bargain there; I assume the Kenko filters are not the Pro1D ones for that price? Like Hoya, they come in different grades. For comparison, I paid £35 just for a 72mm Kenko Pro1D CPL...... If they are indeed Pro1Ds, I'd very much like the name of your...

    UV filters

Or look for Kenko Pro1D. They're exactly the same filter, but the Kenko tend to be cheaper......Kenko is the domestic name whilst Hoya is the export variant.

    HOYA POLARIZING FILTERS

Justa heads up that Hoya Pro1D filters are the same as Kenko Pro1D filters. Kenko is the domestic brand name, Hoya the export name. Searching Ebay for Kenko filters can save $$$ I picked up a Kenko Pro1D filter, 72mm, for £30 delivered.
