Hi Ben if this is on vista it could be that you have installed somthing that has changed the vista colour scheme, ive have just changed the colour skin on faststone viewer and i get black screen flashes when i boot up so i have reset faststone and it has sorted it. hope this helps you:thumbs...

i have been pretty happy with mine and got some good results,

filter/distort/lens correction then you will see the vignette option oh forgot to say then you have flatten image in the layers menu:thumbs:

Heres a couple i took at under 240mm or there abouts you can see there quite sharp. you can see the difference. i would say the top robin is soft. im not very good at explaing really lets hope somone pops along to explain better:thinking:

i have the sigma and have been happy with it, it can produce soft images at the 300mm end though. heres a couple i have taken with it

try deleting all the custom settings

you havnt got it set to manual focus have you by any chance

not sure if its the same but on my 350d where the flash pops up there are 2 metal bits that rattle, if so just pop the flash and hold them see if it stops .
