No there is a gap that lets light in, so I end up with a reflection of the lens in the shot.

Thanks for your replies, I appreciate your help. Well this is the exact item I bought Amazon. The 85mm Filter fits in it perfectly so I can't see that it is a 100mm holder.

I have a Pro Stop 10 Stop filter for Hitech (Formatt) and their 85mm filter holder. There is a foam pad round the filter to help seal it but the filter hold is too big and so I get light seeping in. Am I doing something wrong? Gappy by Pilot Dave 320, on Flickr
