    Me or the lens?

That's solved it, thank you so much

    Me or the lens?

That might well be it. I'll have to try without. So obvious I didn't even think of it. Thanks for the suggestion

    Me or the lens?

1/500 @ f6.3 ISO1600 at 600mm. This is the version with nothing done to it. DOF is definitely narrow but the odd thing is the directionality of the lines in the OOF areas

    Me or the lens?

This is the SOOC one. I only get it with this lens

    Me or the lens?

I've got a Tamron 150-600 zoom lens and I've noticed that on the shots I've taken with it, there's a vague diagonal stripyness in the out of focus areas. Is this a lens issue, something I've done in taking the image or something I'm doing in PP? This isn't the best shot and is a bit noisy but...

    Notes on Editing

This is definitely something I've done as I've learned more and it's very satisfying

    Notes on Editing

I'm slowly getting more and more used to editing in Lightroom and getting results I'm happy with but it's a little haphazard. I guess I should really make a note of what I did to get the result I liked so I can repeat it for similar images in the future. Does anyone have suggestions/tips about...

    Tide Times Prediction

I'm not sure if they still do but the NTSLF mentioned above used to have a subscription service for generating tide tables for up to two years in the future at least. Was able to produce them based on either Ordnance Datum or Chart Datum for tide height

    Circling Plane.

VOR callsigns are used by Flight Calibration Services Ltd so it's probably checking/surveying the navigational aids in the area

How are your Doctors / Health Centre ?

My GPs online system is pretty good. One nurse triages them all and you get contacted by the right professional. This can be by text/email, phone or an appointment arranged. I've been through a tough year ending in a second amputation and I've always been able to get the result I've needed...

What was your most significant camera? Why?

The first camera I had that was 'mine' was a Prinz 110 Luxe I got as a present for 'being good' when I had major surgery which started me thinking about making pictures and then about 5 years later I got a Zenit E which took me on my first steps towards 'proper' photography with a...

    Donating Kit

Not sure if this is in the right place but here goes Many many years ago I got started in photography when someone gave me a 'proper' camera that they'd upgraded from and I've never forgotten how that felt and what it meant. I've recently upgraded so have an ok DSLR with a few lenses and...

    Driverless cars.

A lot of white lines are textured to stop them becoming hazardous to motorcycles in the wet. Smooth ones can be really 'greasy' during and after rain

    Driverless cars.

How would a real driver manage this situation rather than an algorithm? We seem to want autonomous cars to be perfect when all we really need is for them to be better than us. the real change will come when there's a critical mass of autonomous vehicles on the road. A lot of collisions may be...

    New Laptop

Thanks everyone. I think £450 will be my upper limit. I'm planing on using an external monitor mainly if only for the image size let alone resolution
