300mm or 70-200 at Mach Loop?

300mm but to clarify what allan has already said, dont take any gear with you that you dont need, wrap up warm because the cads have there own mini climate regardless of the rest of the country and wear good footwear, walkin pole can come in handy but not essential.

    timetable

Not really how accurate this is but it seems to be some sort of timetable for the low fly area this month, not really sure yet if the times indicated are for all aircraft or a certain base ? http://www.mod.uk/NR/rdonlyres/3D9EF8D8-5C5B-4982-AEA2-955778CB41AB/0/olfmay10.pdf

    fairford

My tips would be, 1000 shutter speed for jets and maybe bump up your iso if cloudy and 250 for prop aircraft and heli`s, a zoom lens is the best choice as you got more flexibility, 300/400 focal length is ideal bringing it back to 50/100 for wide angle stuff, like the red arrows in formation.

    Morality of photography at Auschwitz

Also, i found it very interesting looking on the internet for original photos taken at the time of the holocaust and super imposing them on my photo, So you see how it is now and a ghost image of how it was then.... I have the deepest of thoughts and respect for the poor souls who lost there...

    Morality of photography at Auschwitz

I went a couple of years ago and took a small compact camera with me, it can be quite hard shooting indoors anyway because most of the artefacts are in a glass case in a gloomy lit room, so your flash is gonna ruin the pictures anyway. Outside is a different matter, take your camera, take as...

    Quick question!

if you decide on canon then go for the 500d, much better than 450d

is it worth buying a bushhawk?

That vid sums it up pretty well, There a few good places to stand, the side which the vid was shot, the opposite side so you get cockpit views, you can get above or below, or even get them banking hard round a corner, all excellent vantage points for your shiny new bushhawk :)

is it worth buying a bushhawk?

Depends on where you want to stand, Most the guys up there are on 200, 300, 400mm prime lenses, i usually leave mine set to bout 250- 300, so i guess the answer to the flexibility zoom will be a no, a fixed focal lengh is just fine.
