I'm making a claim through the house insurance but that has a £100 excess. I have also read somewhere online that Canon do not sell spares to the public.

I recently dropped my Canon efs 55-250 is lens and the threaded lens cap holder has broken, meaning I can't attach filters or the lenscap anymore. Does anybody know where I can buy spares for this lens or how easy it would be to repair myself? Thanks, Neil.

I would like to have ago at sports photography and need advice, I've come across this lens Canon EF 70-200mm f4 L USM. It's cheap enough for me to buy but was wondering how it would perform. I can't afford the fester lenses are there any other alternatives around this sort of price (£500)...

Not sure how to post a pic. I just gave it a quick wipe took a picture of the cat and it seems better now. I will buy some lens cleaning wipes in the morning and give it a good clean.

I've just found an old m42 135mm lens, When I use it things looks a little cloudy. pictures look out of contrast a little grainy. Does it just need cleaning or is it something more serious, or is it just my bieng a newbe. I've had some good results with this lens apart from the cloudy...

Yeah I got some larger old m42 lenses for astrophotography or I put the camera straight on the telescope. I was after one with auto focus just for taking pics of ordinary stuff. I tried to take some of the kids playing with the old lenses I have, It was a bit of a nightmare getting them in...

I think I'll have a scratch around for more dosh. Ill know how much of a tax rebate I'll be getting back later this week.
