    Wildlife Photographer of the Year

Having followed the competition for a number of years, including buying the books, I have to say I was underwhelmed by this years winners.

Trapped nerve in back, anyone experienced one?

Not a trapped nerve, but I had a disc related problem after I sneezed of all things! In absolute agony for a month, off work and totally imobile for a week. It's still causing problems 9 months later. I could hardly walk on Saturday after covering a football match. You certainly have my...

Clamping cars as a last resort

Towing will also be banned. People have used it as a loophole, people have used it to get out of paying pure and simple. I agree that yes, it should be the driver but now private tickets will basically have the same standing as a council one where the rk is responsible.

Clamping cars as a last resort

The Freedom bill received it's 3rd reading in the House yesterday. As far as an appeal against the ban, that's going nowhere. Royal Assent is looking likely to be halfway through the year, when the date of the ban will be, who knows.. What will happen in future is that ticketing will be...

That's great Tony, thanks for the advice!

    Repair timescales?

I had an issue with the IS unit when I first purchased it. It seemed to stick and you could see the image moving in the viewfinder even though the lens was stationary - it cleared itself when I turned the camera off and on again. It's kind of knocked my confidence in the lens tbh, that's why I...

    Repair timescales?

I'm not sure my 70-200 2.8 mk II is working as it should, it seems not to be correctly focussing and I'm starting to lose an increasing amount of sharp images, in some it's blatently locked onto the wrong point. Obviously it's a dear lens (for me) and it's starting to frustrate a bit. Now...

Has anyone ever been refused entry to...

I've had a couple of clubs refuse entry unless I paid to go in, but could go pitchside etc if I did. This applies to the Ryman Premier. 95% of the clubs are fine - I shoot for my club so the secretary can usually sort any problems out for me anyway.

Looking for a SIM only plan....please!

I just signed up for a tesco mobile one. 750mins, 5000 text 1gb data. £12.50 a month although it is a year contract. They use the 02 network so coverage is good, or at least it is here!

    non league football grounds

It was the tone of the post Gary, banging head on a wall smilie? Really neccesary was it? As I said, I totally appreciate that there are photographers that earn their living from this, and I've always been aware not to stand on peoples toes - I think the local rags only ever had two and that...

    non league football grounds

Basically Garys on about protection of income, which I do respect, however in my case the only other tog there is for the local paper and the nlp so that angles covered and my work is for the club I don't outsource it anywhere. My offer was for letting someone shoot at a different ground than...
