Football game? more so Level 9 in the tiers?

I am talking FA Vase level, which falls way below a conference license

Conference license is level 5/6

Trying not to give to much away on the matter just yet, just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem

Cheers

I am guessing I have done more games than most at below conference level.. never been turned away ..always make sure I have permission before I go.. thus difficult to be turned away...it would be very rare and very last minute for me to turn up at any football match at any level without organising in advance..

Your post would suggest you didn't organise in advance?

no no, this is for something in just less than two weeks, I was refused entry last week to the game, despite it being a fairly high profile one (For the standard played at)

I wouldn't go to a game unorganized or without permission

Was ya? do you really mean refused entry or didn't get a pass/permission to go?

I've had a couple of clubs refuse entry unless I paid to go in, but could go pitchside etc if I did.

This applies to the Ryman Premier. 95% of the clubs are fine - I shoot for my club so the secretary can usually sort any problems out for me anyway.

I will go to the game as a paying "fan" anyway, they may not let me in but we will see

I emailed asking permission to take pics and had an email back basically saying "no". Will keep an eye out for other photographers "behind the fence" when I am there to to see if its a rule for all or just me

Hi Steve, did you inform them of your PLI etc? I think there are a few "job's worths" at every ground though :). Kind regards Graham.

Yeah they know about everything I have/do

They know this because I covered 18/19 games for them last season

I am at present taking pictures for a local team who had a good run in FA Vase.
I have no problem getting in to take pictures and like mentioned above if I follow them away I always check with the home team at least two weeks in advance to see if they have ant problems with me attending. This give me times to go back to my team to help get sorted if there is an issue.

Like a lot of these things it is FOC, I hope to make on selling images to fans, players, club and local papers.

Tough game coming up thats for sure. keep an eye on Ashington to, there flying at the minute

I was doing excatly the same last year IRP, moved away from them and up the leagues (Conference premier now) and wanted to go back for one game only, as it was a year to the day since I started going there, players want me to go, they still ask all the time, good friends with manager etc etc but the board say "no"

Baffled

seems like they have taken the hump wiht you for going on to bigger and better things.... shame that :(

Thats my feeling to, which is a shame really, alot of players / fans became friends and I still get along with them and speak/see them regularly, shame others can't see that.

I will make sure if I get the chance to move up the leagues I keep in touch with them, so I can have an open invitation to take images when I want.

Don't count your chickens

I have done exactly that, even went to Wembley with them last year, get along great with everyone and was only back there two weeks ago (without camera) and its still not enough

I could potentially pay to get in and stand behind the fence but now I have set a standard, I don;t want to lower it
