kettering is nicer than rushden for sure.... everyone I have ever spoken to about rushden has not been complimentary.... there are some nice new housing developments around kettering now. for the record, I worked in Corby for 13 years, so know the area quite well.

I think the question you have to start with is..... what sort of pictures do you want to shoot? Only then can you start deciding what sort of lens you need.

+1 on that, plus the skills and experience to "Manage" the people on the day. if you are a shrinking violet best to steer well clear.
