lens for aircraft mostly Mach Loop

Hi all just wanted to ask for opinions if this lens from ebay would be of any use to me at the mach loop. Ive only just started with dslr photography so dont want to splash out too much.

I am happy in spending at least a couple of hundred £

That is a great lens from what I have read around from people who use it and seen pics. I have no much experience with regard to mach loop so can't pronounce about that.
What I can say though is that I doubt very much the final price of that lens will be under 200 pounds,
 
the way the RAF is shrinking, there won't be any aircraft left in the mach loop come next year.....
 
Thanks for your replies everyone. Other than canon what other lenses are worth looking at
 
A couple of hundred could get you a Sigma 135-400
Three hundred the 170-500
Four hundred the 80-400 OS
£450 for the 120-400
£500 for the 150-500

and so on ...
