Having previously had a cheap shutter release for my old canon 1000d, i didn't have a second thought about getting another for my 40D. I bought one of these from fleebay and but unfortunately I dropped it soon after it arrived and I then found out that it wouldn't let me do long shutter shots...

Thanks. But that now throws open another question! I would have surely thought the bottom of the flash (and indeed the wireless flash receiver) would be a universal size. Are they not? Flash - the very man! If I bought something like this Is anything extra required?

Based on the comments in this thread, I got a poster (30x 20" i think) printed as a trail. Was so impressed I got it framed. For €9.99 + postage in 7 days to Ireland I was more than happy...:)

I've got one on my canon. Supposedly its not as sharp as the tamron version, but i got mine for €100 so really can fault it in the slightest :D It suits my needs perfectly and was great replacement for the kit lens
