A Flickr Question?

Hello everyone.

I recently got Flickr here and was hoping you guys could answer my question!

Is Pro worth getting? I have used 50% of my 100mb limit and I'm not close to uploading my other photos, is there any other benefits?

Yes, it is worth getting.

I use it for hosting all of my full resolution images

The free account limits your total upload to 100mb, the pro version is unlimited. The pro version also allows you to create an unlimited amount of sets, but the free version limits you to just 3 (i think - or maybe not??)

The pro version also allows you to check how may 'hits' your pics get and where the hits are coming from

There might be others, but thats all I can think of at the moment. My first year expires in 4 days and i'll be renewing it

I would recommend it for the unlimited storage space and album sorting - I keep all of my photos on there, so if my computer blows up everything's safe & sound.

Who was it that described the stats as virtual crack? That's pretty much spot on.
Doesn't the free account limit you to 200 visible shots as well? The others are still there, but people can only view the most recent 200.

I wouldn't give up my flickr account for anything, both as a back up to my other safe guards and for ease of sharing photos.

yeah, you should definitely upgrade and get it! Flickr is so addictive... a goldmine of inspiration.

I maybe wouldn't bother. Flickr has stored the full resolution versions of your photos anyway, it just won't let you look at them til you go pro. It's the same with the 200 photo limit. It stores your old ones, you just need to upgrade to see them Unless you think you'll need the original size soon you can just upgrade when the time comes.
