Help with choosing compact camera please?

That is the problem, I don't know which is why I thought I would ask first this time - I did not like the quality from the TZ70 at all even though it appeared to have everything I was looking for initially (long lens, light, raw capability, viewfinder)

Help with choosing compact camera please?

Thanks for responding, - it was a Lumix TZ70 I could not remember what it was, and it was not in the house when I typed my query. No, I have not ruled out mirrorless sytems, I had not heard of them so had to do some research and it looks like they need separate lenses which increases the...

Help with choosing compact camera please?

I currently have assorted joint problems which mean I have difficulty carrying, lifting, using my Canon dslr's so am looking for a reasonably lightweight compact that I can easily carry and use. I did try buying a small camera without asking here first but after the quality of the pictures on...

What is new in Adobe Photoshop CC?

Stumac, some and some. Check with the creators you got the paid-for plugs-ins from as they may have updates for CC 14 (which is different to CC !)

    Dog owners - A warning

Great news that you will be able to pick Tess up and she is recovering, sounds like she had been very lucky. (£600 - I must change my vet, mine would have an extra 0 on the end I think) Quite a few dog "treats" are very rich or high in fat, especially those that are made to look like stuffed...

    How to blend layers

Adding to Wayne and John's comments, you also need to make sure the lighting is all coming from the same direction (s) and the perspective of the different layers is the same

    Two Lancs flying together!

I saw these on Thursday and yesterday, neither time did I have my camera available as they flew over my house. Did manage to catch a Vampire as it flew towards the sun (so the legends are untrue - they can be captured on camera and go out in the sun) then discovered it is Eastbourne Airshow...

    Help with PP this Photo!

The first thing I would do is use curves to bring back the whites if you are taking it straight into PS as a jpg. I had a quick play and ended up with a lot of adjustment layers as I experimented, as David says, an image that has some "wow" to start with always helps. It is always a great...

First go at textures - which is better?

I like the textured version as well - just think how much you learned by taking it on the "wrong" background that you might not have learnt otherwise :)

Adobe CC for £7.49 per month inc VAT.

In CC you get the upgrades as they produce them rather than every eighteen months or so for a whole new programme. Having said that Adobe recently released PS CC14 which is a separate install from the previous CC and does ot have panels - so some (or all? ) of any extensions you may have...

    General builders is this feasible?

Block paviers would still allow drainage which concrete would not, how much water runs between the two walls or does the overhang keep it all off, is it in an area that is liable to flood if we keep getting the mad amounts of rain in short periods that we have been getting recently
