Yes
As title, I just received an email from Adobe with the offer of £7.49 per month, valid until 29th August, for LR and PS (photographers package?)

It came at the right time for me as I downloaded the LR5.6 trial yesterday, and was going to go with the £8.99 per month offer!

Thank you Adobe.

500px also have a deal going at the moment, not sure if you use them, where you can get one of their "awesome" accounts (like a Flickr Pro account) for £8.23 per month which includes the Photographers Pack on Adobe CC.

Is this the full PS or an upgrade

In CC you get the upgrades as they produce them rather than every eighteen months or so for a whole new programme. Having said that Adobe recently released PS CC14 which is a separate install from the previous CC and does ot have panels - so some (or all? ) of any extensions you may have installed will not work :(

What I meant by the full PS is that it's not a limited version like elements, it's the full version and I wasn't sure if you had to have an existing full version to get it at that price. I also already have LR installed so would this have to be removed before install?

It is not limited, it is the full, extended version of PS and the full version of lightroom. You do not need an existing version to take up this offer

You will end up with two licenses for LR - one standalone and one CC. The advantage of keeping both is you could decided to abandon your CC subscription after (say) a year and then revert to standalone LR without losing the develop module functionality. If you sell on your standalone LR license (which I did, per the Ts & Cs) then you're basically locked into the CC model... which is obviously their idea! I don't mind that, but you may wish to keep the future optionality.

Where can i get this deal? I already have lightroom5 but this seems a great offer. How would you go about moving your old catalogue from the non cc lightroom to the new cc lightroom?

Not exactly a huge saving but a saving none the less, for the first year anyways.

Just a couple of question, I have been thinking about it but what happen if you have no internet connection. My internet is very moody and drop out quiet a few time every evening. Will I loose the work I started? Will I not be allowed to use lightroom if I'm not connected?

Wondering this myself, as im very interested in getting this offer.

The software will be on your hard drive. As far as I'm aware, adobe just needs you connected to the web once a month for validation purposes.

You download the programs to your computer and generally run them as normal. You only need internet connection to downlaod and install initially and then every at least every 30 days to authenticate it.

"Because your Creative Suite applications are installed directly on your computer, you will not need an ongoing Internet connection to use them on a daily basis.

However, you will need to be online when you install and license your software, and at least once every 30 days thereafter. The software will alert you when you need to connect to the Internet for a license status check "

Makes sense, cheers Marc

Another potentially stoopid question...
I heard somewhere that your processed images are all stored in cyberspace. If the programmes are on my PC can I store my images here as well? I don't really want Adobe or anyone else controlling my access, even if it means buying an external hard drive to hold them in.

Only the ones you want saved in the cloud are stored there, everything is saved to your hard disc, even the ones in the cloud are only copies of the ones on your hard disc.

It creates a Creative Cloud folder that gets replicated up to the cloud. If you don't store any files in there then nothing is uploaded.

So the point of the cloud is for syncing with your other devices?

Is there a huge difference between the full PS & elements ? I'd assume so giving the difference in price but never had a look at the full version so just wondering ?

I recently installed Elements for a novice club member. I thought it was relatively advanced - until I tried to use it. No doubt if you are a beginner or don't do much processing it will be fine.

I am coming from CS6 so it seemed extremely basic. I'd struggle if that was all I had.

It should be noted that this £7.49 a month is being advertised as "Promotional pricing for first year. See terms," and the offer is only open until August 29th.
Part of "the terms" says:
"Renewal: The price is valid for a full 12 months.
After that, we’ll renew your contract automatically, at the then-current standard price of the offering.
Currently, the regular price for Creative Cloud Photography plan is £8.78/month incl. VAT or £104.86/year incl. VAT.
We will always notify you prior to billing for your renewal.
The price is subject to change, but we will always notify you beforehand."

If you're trying to make a point I think that you ought to be more explicit than that - what exactly do you mean??? Be specific. Otherwise you haven't told us anything.

He's told us that enough to be able to understand that more comparisons is required before jumping in to a decision about to buy one or the other. Everyone is different and levels of experience are subjective.

Does this mean that you think the £7.49 rate will increase to the then current monthly cost, but the £8.99 rate will stay at that price forever?
I would expect any and all rates to change after the contracted twelve months.

I cant see that being correct. The way I understand it, is that if you subscribe before the 29th August, you can have it for £7.49 per month for the first year, and it will increase to the higher price after that. If you subscribe on the 30th August it will be £8.99 per month.

Decided to give the deal a go, but I still keep getting the pop up asking if you want to continue using the trial, do you get a licence number to enter to stop the pop up.

That was what I understood, but maybe Brian knows something different?

Maybe he does :D

Wouldnt really make sense though would it? One month at £7.49, then the remaining 11 at £8.99? A whopping £1.50 saving over the year...o_O

The terms seem completely clear to me, and I don't know any different to what is on the Adobe website.
Adobe clearly says (referring to the special offer) "The price is valid for a full 12 months."
So you have 12 months at the £7.49 rate and then you revert to whatever the monthly rate is at the end of the 12 months, which is currently £8.99, (but may be subject to change.)
I don't know how you can interpret the offer as being £7.49 for one month or that the regular £8.99/month rate is going to be for ever.
You only have until August 29th to take up the offer, after which you will pay the regular £8.99/month.

I thought my op said that it was £7.49 per month, valid until 29th August. I assumed everyone would check the t's & c's re renewals.
To me it means £7.49 per month for twelve months if I sign up before 29th August, and after twelve months it will change to the then current subscription price.

I think there has been some misinterpretations of the posts regarding pricing. Everyone is saying the same thing arent they?

Yes, that is what baffles me.

Is this the five minute argument?...
