well I have just spoke to Rich and didn t even know about him being ill, I am not keeping up on here now, so sorry its a bit late Rich but get well soon and I wish you all the best.

The trouble is if one togger goes into the field messing about others will follow and then there will be to much disturbance thats what I am saying, I saw a dog running through and the owls stayed down didn t bother them probably used to it, but to many people in there will bother them.

There is no need to start on me, this is a different kind of disturbance we are talking about, there are dog walkers, etc pass this sight every day, sensible toggers photographing them this is fine, its those who cause disturbance by going in the field, and I think you are being a bit childish...

Jason so glad you have put up this thread, I totally agre with you. It is wrong to put up locations in my opinion, another froum has banned this which is a good thing, by all means tell your fellow toggers who you know will cause no disturbance to the birds and who can be sensible and do it...

just like to add I have seen them looking a more emerald green during one evening when we had the most beautiful evening light and the colours were certainly different then, I think it is all about what light they are taken in.

I am a member of a few wildlife trusts, spend a fortune on bird food and the wildlife trusts use my pics when ever they need them.

always use a rocket blower first to get rid of the dust etc, never rub it off as there may be some grit that could scratch your lens, I then just use a special cloth to get rid of any other marks

I tend to use centre for my bird photography unless I haven t much room and want for instance a portrait shot then i will move wherever i want it then and then use the custom functions you can set for my flight shots using some or all the points

Just a thought don t know if its been mentioned, would it usefull to beginners is we all posted exif details it might help people ask the questions why they were took with the settings we choose and why
