    Kodak releases Kodacolor 100

I'd love to see them release a faster cheap colour film - I think Lomo 800 is Kodak Gold 800, as used in disposables? If that were cheaper it'd be great.

The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I had an issue with them loading (it just showed boxes with a '?' inside), but it went away when I refreshed the page. Can you give any more information about what you're seeing?

The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Doing wildlife is very different to my normal, but I was on safari and had a very helpful subject. Shot with X-T3 and 100-400 and 16-55.

    MF Lenses

No adjustments needed for exposure. It's all very complicated, but to my own understanding, the 'equivalence' stuff for aperture between formats is mostly useful for thinking about depth of field/compression.

    Tatton Park Deer Rut

I talked with a ranger the day before they shut the gate - apparently a lack of food means they're much more territorial over the areas around the oak trees, since they eat the acorns. They were decidedly less active while I was there, but there was a lovely black swan in the lake by the bird hide.

    MF Question

There are a few 'official' ways to get movements in the Hasselblad system - a 1.4 'PC Mutar' teleconverter, and the 'Arcbody' and 'Flexbody' - one of which uses Hasselblad lenses, and the other uses large format (I think?) lenses to get more movement. However, they do all seem like a bit of a...

OFFICIAL I HAVE A NEW (FILM RELATED) TOY THREAD!!

A new toy that sadly went straight back - I've tried a couple of times to get a CF 250mm for my Hasselblad kit, and both times the 'perfect' condition lenses have come full of moisture (and in this case, cleaning marks?).

A little play with the macro lens, flash, and a sad-looking flower. XT3 with a Nikon 55mm 2.8 macro.

A question for Peak strap users

Same - I've got a couple of Peak straps but none of those - do you remember what they came with? Was it all the straps or just the full-sized Slide (that's the one I haven't got)

Gear failure? How many have had it happen?

I had the shutter of my (previously always faithful) Olympus 35 SP fatally jam while taking a shot on the way to Durdle Door - when I got my film back from the rest of the trip down south it had actually been firing less and less over time and about half of the shots hadn't been taken at all. I...

    Lens Dilemma for Safari nikon

I just did Kenya (including Masai Mara and Amboseli, which are on the border with Tanzania) with a Fuji 16-55 and 100-400 (APS-C, so 24-70 and 150-600ish equivalent). Those with more direct experience might say otherwise, but I think a 100-400 even on full frame would suffice, especially if you...

Show us yer film shots then!

Always enjoy seeing your paddock shots - been going to Curborough since before I could walk, but have never found the time to combine photography and racing!

    Cabin sized camera backpack recommendations

One thing to bear in mind is the weight of your kit - I got a Shimoda Explore 35L which is no problem (so far!) for size as your 'big' carry-on, but I got a telling off and had to split things between mine and my (very patient) wife's bag allowance because it came to 13kg with a safari's worth...

Osprey Stratos still the go to camera backpack / bag?

I've got a posh Shimoda Explore 35 that I use for photography and it's better than all the other camera bags I've tried or seen, and lets me get access to all my kit really quickly. But it's nowhere near as comfortable as my Osprey (I've got a Kestrel). I use the Shimoda for the ease of access...

    HC-110 variants?

I've been using Bellini Euro HC for a while and am quite pleased with it - shelf life seems to be a non-issue. I have had a bit more success using the slightly longer Ilfotec HC developing times as a starting point rather than the Kodak HC110 ones, though - especially for HP5.
