Update on my contaflex 1. Got an estimate to get it repaired!!!!!!, though I was buying. A share in the guys business, £120 ish. Only paid £3.50 for it , got the 2 front lenses removed, shop tok them for £4 ,score , so now have made the rest of it into A clock for my work desk. Ho hum :lol...

Camera in good condition , taking it to a camera shop in Glasgow next Thursday Tobget an estimate to have it cleaned and serviced, the guy said he only does the Contaflex 1 & 2 as these are the easiest to work on , will let you know how it goes. Stewart

Hi got it fixed take off the bottom plate, there are 3 brass cogs, one for the advance one for the take up, one in the middle connects them , it was out of alignment moved it 2 notches alls well now , camera cost me £10. From a local seller, no ebay fees or extortionate postal costs. Stewart

Checked on the net this model has no tab to remove the lens , thanks anyway Stewart

Yes the 1&2 are the same 2 has the meter, I must be blind can't see any tab ?.

Just looking at it now, no tab only 3 screws which hold the distance scale.

Hi. Just got an emi k 35 camera , in vgc but when you wind it on you have to depress the shutter release button just a wee bit before the advance lever will cock the camera . How difficult is the top plate to remove ?. Very solid built camera. Regards Stewart
