I have the full bundle - I suggest downloading the trail versions.
They are good value for money.
Denoise works well IMO
Topaz Adjust is fine but I prefer OnOne's sofware for adjustments.

No. I'm self employed. I think friendship and future work is probably more important than chasing a few quid you were never commissioned for in the first place.
Why go chasing money (even if its technically due to you)?
Tell your friend you are flattered and its made you think more about photography. Ask to take some more of her and her friends at a studio and get her to pay for the studio fees and for a few prints for your portfolio. All of this on...

I bought the very same lens a couple of weeks ago from this forum second hand. Its now on my 7D and its a wonderful lens - very sharp and the focus is deadly. I read all the reviews etc, and they are correct.
The 2.8 really helps with low light and the IS is superb - seems better than...

Nothing wrong with window light and a reflector.
And I hate to say it but good old sun and net curtains up at the window to diffuse the light works pretty well. Largest softbox you can get.

I think it look OK.
Doesn't grab me as being especially different in layout and looks like its based on a design template IMO.
Would be great to feature some great images taken by student on home page or "60 second interview" with attendees.

I like the site. Got some lovely images - especially like the rose and the green eyes.
I agree with the comments about the tiled backgrounds.
I would suggest getting some scale in typography - bigger headers or menu items - as the type looks a bit 'samey'
