Hi Guys,
Is there any way of checking what custom setting is active in a given Menu Bank.
I shoot for a company sporadically and set it up for their requirements but I am damned if I can remember the ones I changed!
Gonna be doing some more stuff for them soon so if anyone knows how to...
Its no wonder folk get confused on here!
Langford Basic Photography (The Bible) Focal length, Aperture and Distance to the subject are the three factors which affect DofF.
Basically
Focal Length: Longer = Small DofF
Aperture: Small fNo = Small DofF
Distance: Closer to...
When diluted at this ratio you will have a nice light yellow colour. Under normal (Yellow) safelight it will appear colourless, as it deteriorates you will notice a tone start to wash over your prints as they are agitated, time to bin it. A good mix (1+ltrs) will do hundreds of prints and you...
Beware the preflash on some guns as its a measure for the autofocus. Caught me a treat first time as I had a group of VIPs that needed shooting in a hallway. Thank god for long synch leads!
Do what I call the squinty eye test. Look at the picture you produced through your eye lashes. You will see the flower and green reduced to tonal ranges. The prdominant tone on the shot is DARK (Green) the camera sees this in Auto and exposes to make this main tone an average grey, thus over...

I tried shooting a cat once........................... prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Never again!
Not unless a taxidermist has done his bit first!
Gotta be kids and animals.
Careful as your auto functions can be compromised. I have used manual cameras and lenses for macro and got stunning results. DOF struggles so make friends with f22 and f32!
Bowens 500s are moret than powerful enough for your needs. If you go any more than this you may find your options limited at the wider end of your DOF. If shooting with DSLR with a smaller than full frame sensor you get masses of DOF. To throw backgrounds out of focus I shoot around f5.6. if...
