How do I lure a robin??

Maggots are a fave, any local tackle shop, a pint of them is around £2-3 but thats a lot, ask for a quarter pint but usually they do half pints, good to see some fellow fishermen around here as well

    Manual override.

I always use it for video, if during recording I want afew pics as well then just stop recording, let autofocus settle and take a pic, press the record and we're back to recording. This also means you can use the af to get focus right and not have to use 5x or 10x zoom but then again on a 7D...

    Canon 400d (Focus)

If its a long focal length what was your shutter speed? The longer the focal length the faster the shutter speed needs to be in order to avoid motion blur. At 90mm you should try for around 160th of a second or faster, at 300mm you should e around 500th of a sec

    Canon 400d (Focus)

The autofocus will work exactly the same in all the different modes, The camera screen isnt exactly HD so you wont see the best image, Are you using the kit lens? The IS version or the non IS? The non IS isnt brilliant How does it look on the pc? Can you post a sample to show?

    Premiere Pro Course Recommendations Please

As previously said the best way to learn would be look online/youtube. The problem with prem pro cs6 or any Editor is that they look complex and daunting to begin with but are pretty straightforward after afew days of use. Theres multiple ways of doing things which gives the exact same end...

    SDHC Transfer Rate

Video will be fine, pictures will be ok as well but it'l take a long time to clear the buffer if you are machine gunning and take a dozen+ shots in a row. Also slower cards are a royal pain in the *** when transfering everything to pc, do you really want to wait an hour or more to transfer a...

    New to DSLR Video

    1) tripod, I use the manfrotto 561 BHDV-1 monopod for 90% of stuff as its almost a tripod but with smooth pan/tilt and very quick change in heights. 2) if you havent got one then get/borrow/loan/steal a fast lens, at least a 2.8 but better a 1.8/1.4 3) practice focusing, best place I'v found is...

Focus and Recompose or Change Focus Point?

Was 50/50 on 450D but with 7D its 90% focus points as its so fast to change and accurate, only time need to recompose is if subject is close to the edges

Do all Canon lenses fit my camera?

Each to their own, however it depends on the situation, if you have a crop body and maybe possibly could go full frame in a year or 2 then it would be good idea to get an EFs now and sell it. You wouldnt lose out much cash either, a second hand 17-85mm EFs is around £170 and will drop maybe...
