Can't get to grips with a monpod over a length of time, tried it and failed!

Cheers will have a look at their range. Budget is around £200, and if I can sneak in a decent head that will support the siggy500 and 7d in that price then all the better!

Is that not classed as a studio tripod? Is it sturdy enough for field work in all weathers?

Hi all I'm in the market for a new tripod - this time carbon fibre, as I'm sick and tired of lugging my aluminium beast everywhere! Does anyone have any recommendations for one? My main kit will be a Canon 7d and Sigma 50-500mm mounted on this, so not the heaviest kit in the world...

Hi all I'm in the market for the above tripod, but would like some feedback if anyone has used one before : 1. Will it comfortably hold an Olympus e-5 with Sigma 50-500mm attached (i have a ball head to use on this) 2. Just how sturdy is it at full stretch? Thanks in advance Danny

My advice would be : Don't be lured in by the silly low price of these cheap and nasty lenses, they are more than liely fixed apeture at f8 or so, so LOTS of light needed, or high ISO. They also have a disgusting bokeh of little circles dues to the mirror makeup inside. Not a good lens to use...

Oh they arent native? Ok, so can we please get rid of all carp in rivers and lakes please, bring back wolves, kill all dogs, destroy all catfish, close all zoos, etc etc. "Not native" is not an excuse. If you go back far enough, we as a people are not native to Britain ffs!

+1 for this advice - I upgraded from an e-410 to an e-620, the wife now uses the 410 when we're out together, same lenses, one camera bag to carry, etc.
