Guys which out of the D800 and D800E would be best for shooting landscapes? I used to have a D700 which I sold some while ago and I am now looking at either getting one of the newer D800's or will try to get the D700 if the newer cams aren't worth the extra money.
Iv got the LX3 and really happy with it. Only just used it in anger in the last week whilst on training in the highlands. Iso isn't that great so i tend to keep it below iso 200 to keep images clean. Really simple to use. A sample:
Treated myself to an LX3 and arrived yesterday. Going to upload pics onto the computer in a bit to see what they come out like, just took a few outside the house. Seems a nice little camera though, and nicely laid out.
Did a few last week for a client, rained and the horse had an injury so just had a little walk on the grass instead of on the gallops. Used 70-200 2.8 and af-c and manually changing focus points. Never taken pictures of a horse previously but the client was happy with results.
Got 2 Phottix batteries for £15 on ebay (delivered) and seem spot on. Needed them for when I am away and have no electric for 2 weeks. Going to order another 2 this week.
I charge batteries both genuine nikons and 3rd party ones and use a week or so later with no problems, to answer your post.
