Hi, I've just bought a sigma 150-500 to join my eos550d and 3 or 4 other lenses. I'm now looking for a bag to carry it all in. I am thinking of the Lowepro 400aw, but am looking for suggestions.

I once ran off a roll of film on a holiday trip, only to realize later that there was no film in the camera...

Im not sure, but don't crumpler do an insert for bags? Basically just the padding from one of their small bags.

First slr was a Canon TX? Totally manual, still got it. Followed by a A1 which was joined by a few compacts. Seen the light again and now have a 550d .

I'd go for the 55-250, nice lens (not that I have much to judge it against) and can be had for about £140ish on amazon.

I currently have a 550D with kit lens and the 55-250 lens. Normally I'm quite happy with this range, but every now and then would like something a bit longer. Is it possible to get a teleconverter that will work with the 55-250 and the 550D. Can't really afford another lens at the moment.

Mine gets left on auto most of the time unless I've got time to play around with it. Still learning though...

Like a lot of people replying, I've not long bought a 550 and love it. I would however suggest trying them out in a shop to see how they fit in the hand. I didn't go for the 600 as I thought that knowing me, I'd catch the screen on something and wreck it.

Oh, I can probably come up with a few stupid questions. Still working my way through the manual just now though. Is it worth getting one of the field guides for the 550, or is everything pretty much in the manual that comes with the camera?

I used to be really into photography, then the kids came along and the SLR got put away and most of my photography was snaps of the kids on hols. Now they've grown up a bit, I've got myself a Canon 550D and am trying to remember what all the settings are for. Be prepared for some fairly stupid...
