I used to be really into photography, then the kids came along and the SLR got put away and most of my photography was snaps of the kids on hols. Now they've grown up a bit, I've got myself a Canon 550D and am trying to remember what all the settings are for.
Be prepared for some fairly stupid questions...

There is never a stupid question. Ever! Sometimes stupid answers, but we have all started from the same spot, so don't be afraid to ask lots of questions..... the more the merrier!

Oh, I can probably come up with a few stupid questions. Still working my way through the manual just now though.
Is it worth getting one of the field guides for the 550, or is everything pretty much in the manual that comes with the camera?
 
Hi Dave,

YES, get the field guide. It has so much more information and far easier to get to grips with. you wont regret it.
