THANK YOU! I feel incredibly silly now. Searched for numerous different potential names bar the most obvious! Thanks again. :)

    Fuji x100

I think I am fonder of the silver model but the black case. The Black edition is handier with everything included but wonder if it really will hold any greater value if it isn't a system for me. Its clear the screw/hood/Filter is not worth the £150 alone but maybe the overall value of the black...

    Fuji x100

I should add... Is the Black LE worth an extra £150? I figure I make a saving with some of the extras included but not £150 worth, but will it hold a resale value better being limited too 10,000? I can get a normal x100 and genuine bag for £150 less and thats what im swaying towards with...

    Fuji x100

Trying my best to resist the urge to click 'buy'. I have a healthy D7000 kit but it is not something I can carry with me every day and I'd love something that shared the same IQ in a smaller body to take with me everywhere. I'm a sucker for the looks of the thing but worry it will lose any...

    Lowepro Slingshot 100

I think your mistaking the size of the two lenses. It will happily take your kit in it with either lens attached. I found the 100 slingshot a perfect bag for me. I also found it to be very comfortable. Whilst I wouldnt want a 300 to be a sling, for the wieght of a 100, it works just fine...

    Gorillapod for travelling

Another here for don't bother. I sent mine back to the UK a few months back as I was not using it. A tripod is far more useful but I cannot justify the extra bulk. Gorrillapods have their place, but as a replacement for a tripod they do not work. As Jacob said, no shortage in markets when your...

    Taking your kit through customs.

Im in my 16th non-EU country this year just now and not had any issue traveling with my kit. I usually have to take it out going through the scanners and occasionally this sparks up conversations with those interested in photography but no problems. I did plan to pick up a Nikon 24-70 and...

    Rokinon 8mm f3.5 Fisheye

Thanks Richie. It really does excel for architectural shots. You can misuse a fisheye but with the even distortion of the Samyang it is very high on my list of favorite lenses. I really regret bringing my Sigma 10-20mm with me for my 8 month trip as I have longed for my Samyang fisheye more than...

    Nikon Fisheye

Heres an old thread of mine where I challenged myself to shoot Berlin with the Samyang fisheye to give you an idea of the lens. http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=302186

So what was your first slr or dslr?

Nikon D40. Found it a great way to test the waters before I took the plunge on something more substantial.

    Nikon Fisheye

Have a look at the Samyang 8mm. Yes its MF but really, I rarely have to change mine from infinity to hit full focus and its under half that price.
