Will the below lens autofocus with the Nikon D3100 (an AF-S body)? If not, does anyone know one which will? (My eyes are not the best when it comes to manual focusing due to a my eyes being slightly weak but its not bad enough to warrant glasses and that is what the optician told me)

Nikon 10.5MM F2.8G AF DX IF-ED FISHEYE-NIKKOR

As above, you rarely need to focus a fish eye, so a manual focus one is perfectly acceptable.
Not to mention a hell of a lot cheaper.

as already mentioned. MF not a problem with a fisheye
i have the same lens in your link & at infinity setting everything over about 2and a half feet away will be in focus.
you'll only need to refocus on really close stuff & thats pretty easily seen through the viewfinder anyway

Cheers for the fast and excellent responses guys :) I'll look into the samyang!

I guess you learn something every day. I assumed that all of the dx specific lenses were developed with AF-s included, but this one isn't.

Thanks,
Rick

That was my thought too which was why I asked and I'm glad I did!

Heres an old thread of mine where I challenged myself to shoot Berlin with the Samyang fisheye to give you an idea of the lens.

Thank you for sharing, there are some really great pictures. :)

Do you still use the lens much? The only thing I'm worried about is the aperture ring as I've never used one before, any tips? I've also heard from reviews that the lens doesn't become sharp until f8, do you agree?

Does anyone know if the Samyang will meter with the Nikon D3100?

Reports seem to say they now come with chips on the Nikon mount (but didn't when they were first released) but I don't really know what this means for me.
