    Polaroid

Erm I don't know what she means. As far as I knew a polaroid camera was one of them ones where you take a shot and it prints it out on the polaroid film and you 'shake it like a polaroid picture' :P I suppose I want one like this...

Calling all Sony Alpha users! (Part 5)

Had a play with the A55 in Jessops the other day in between getting asked three bloody times if I needed help.. I quite liked the EVF, the horizon thing you see is quite cool. The sweep panoramic thing is good too, as is the ability to shoot movies which I would quite like in a camera. I'd go...

    Aperture on Lenses

I'm just confused about the relevance of the apertures and why it's mentioned in the names of the lenses. For instance I am a Sony owner and I've read a lot of reviews on the 50mm 1.8. In a lot of the reviews, people state that they rarely use f1.8 as it provides awful bokeh. So I didn't really...

    Sony a350 & Sigma 70-300mm problems

I read about this exact reason and got a tamron zoom lens instead. Won't be getting Sigma lenses just incase.

    Aperture on Lenses

This is what I don't get though.. Say you used a f1.8 lens at f5.6 and then used an f2.8 lens at f5.6. Would the picture you take look the exact same as they're taken at the same aperture? Or would the f1.8 be of higher quality because it has a wider aperture and always lets more light in?

    Aperture on Lenses

What does it mean? For instance the nifty fifty, f/1.8. What does this mean? Does it mean it gathers more light so photos taken indoors are higher quality? Or does it mean that this is the aperture you can go down to with this Lens on your camera?

    Manual Mode on Sony 330

Can someone help me with a problem I'm having with manual mode.. I can't find a way to change the aperture! The only way I've found how to change it is to go into aperture priority mode, set the aperture then come back to manual mode and set the shutter speed. Surely there is a better way of...
