Harvey Norman closing down sale N Ireland.

Just been down to Harvey Norman in Belfast. They are closing down their electrical end of the stores. Few good discounts to be had. 20-30% of all camera gear and accessories. Was a couple of D7000 with kit lens left. Few Canon bodies and some manfrotto tripods. Camera bags as well.

Hi everyone  I have just recently got myself a nice shinny new D7000 and thought it was about time I learnt to shoot in RAW and edit my photos. So after a nice week in Malta I got myself a copy of Lightroom 3 and sat down to start. Initially I was overwhelmed but after watching alot of...

    New D7000 Dead Pixels

A final update guys. Just left Calumet with a new D7000. They replaced it with a query or hesitation. No problems what so ever. The guy was really helpful. I guess this is the advantage of buying from a bricks and mortar shop. I was going to buy online and can only think of the hassle it would...

    New D7000 Dead Pixels

Thanks mate. Think I will take it back on Monday. After doing some research on google it seems to have been a problem with earlier D7000's. Apparently a firmware update was supposed to fix it but mine already has the latest firmware.

    New D7000 Dead Pixels

Hi guys Looking for a bit of advice. Picked up a new D7000 today from my local Calumet. Was taking some pics today and noticed two blue dots on every picture. They are small but depending on the background fairly noticeable. I think they are a couple of dead pixels. Should I return the camera...

Hi Guys Just opened the box on my new D7000. Excited is not the word!! Upgrading from a D5000. Expecting a steep learning curve. Anyone got any advice on a new lens as well. Was thinking of a fast 17-50. Either tamron or sigma, I have no more money for the nikon. I already have a nikon 70-300...
