    tumblr thieves

I'm concerned about the same thing, and I've resorted to watermarking too. Yes, I agree they do spoil the image, but I think it's the only realistic way of preventing your image from going walkabouts. I've seen some fairly inventive solutions that try to prevent people from downloading images...

    Attention King's Lynn photographers!

If only I lived a bit closer, I'd love to have a go at capturing something like that! I hope some images get posted here-I'd be interested to see how you guys tackle it!

    Props and costumes

Round here we've got a number of props shops, but I don't know how expensive they usually are. I've not done any costume work, but you could try charity shops-you never know what you might find in there!

    New

Hey! The most useful thing I think I can suggest is to just have a go at as much as you can! As you look around this forum, see the different types of photography that goes on here, and have a go at what you can. For instance, a while ago I saw some long exposure work, and decided to do some...

    Long exposure test shots.

I've had a lot of fun doing long exposure work-the hours I've spent in dark fields on my own though-can get cold and lonely at times! Keep us updated with how you get on!

    Hides

Wow...loving the effort here! I've not had to use a hide yet, only once I would have found it useful, and I got by just by using dark clothing. Love to have a go though!

    First wedding - tips?

Hey, Glad it went well! Hope you can share at least a couple of the images. Are there any tips that you learnt through doing it, that you could pass on? Nothing beats practical experience! Well done though, I'm sure the bride and groom really appreciated your efforts!

    Lego figures in Classifieds

Hey guys I remember discussing this with some other members not that long ago, it seems it's a common question, with no obvious solution! If it is indeed too expensive or rare to buy, then asking friends and family would be my next choice. Good luck!

Why did I get such slow shutter speeds?!

Really appreciated reading this thread-I've done a few gigs in my time, and only really got it right at the last few. Interesting to read the comments about shooting in manual. It's something I've avoided so far, but that's probably more out of laziness than anything! Usually I stick with AV...

    Star Wars Lego photo's

Love these ideas. I've seen some absolutely brilliant shots over the last couple of years, and I'm always jealous of those who have all the props to hand! Maybe I need to dig out all my old Lego and do some non-Star Wars work!

    What Makes the Perfect Picture???

For me, it's a picture that tells a story. I may not know what story that is when I'm taking a picture, but it's always in the hope that someone else will. It's easier when it's a photo of a memory (like a place, or event I've been to), because my story is already in it, even if I'm the only...

    Water droplet photography

Hey guys, I've not tried this myself yet-have to admit, I think I've underestimated how tricky this is! So, no advice from me, but I'll be watching this thread with interest!

    Storm Chasing

This is really something I'd love to do, but not had the chance so far. I've heard too that a long exposure can do a really good job capturing lightning. I just wish I had more know-how about storms, because I'd love to have a go! Maybe one day...

    RHS are having a laugh!

I could definitely see that as a reason. Does come across a little elitist though - it's a bit steep for us common folk!

    Socially Awkward

Yup - I think that would be a good idea. You could really have some fun with that! Be sure to let us know when you've had a go - I would be interested to see the results!
