Afternoon all,

Having seen some of the things people are doing with lego just makes we want to have a go! Unfortunatly i'm not able to get into the Classifieds just yet (my time will come) but was just wondering whether someone can tell me if Lego is popular in the classifieds or am I better going on ebay etc? Im not in a great rush but if they are being sold I may be better buying from here knowing that they will have been looked after rather than gambling on ebay!

Thanks

pressed link and nothing came up at all :(

Never mind, ill hit the might that is ebissle!

no worries - basically it just showed how little lego there is for sale on TP :)

Good luck with hunting :)

Im on ebay, having a look. To get a basic set to make some poor lame story would cost £20 at least in figures!!:gag:
Although I suppose if it improves me then its worth it. Plus it would be a bit of fun after work!

I just need an idea, so I can decide what I need to buy!!

I had some for sale and sold them all but they were mainly Star wars ones and put it this way. out of around 80 figures I made nearly £400! so that's £5 a figure on average!

Not worth it, look at some of the railway figures or something, I've seen some nice macro stories done using those railway figures :)

Railway figures.. i've just had a look at them and there just not the same as lego IMO.
I think tbh i've got my heart set on lego

Thanks for the advice though!!

Not the same, but there is some great stuff around - have a look at Slinkachu, and google "little people" :)

I just hijacked my boys toys for mine lol..

Do you not know anyone with kids to ask if you can borrow some for a few hours?

And if this helps, the 'Lego men crash landed in...' set thats big in general sharing at the moment was done with just a £10 set that you can get from any toysrus.

'And a fair bit of imagination of course'.

Have fun.

Why not think differently and use something that's not as expensive. Army figures can be had for about £1 a pack from cheap shops, a quick trip around a car boot and you'll find all sorts of figures from 20p upwards.

but you can kill lego by breaking them apart. I think I just have my heart stuck on lego!

Hey guys

I remember discussing this with some other members not that long ago, it seems it's a common question, with no obvious solution! If it is indeed too expensive or rare to buy, then asking friends and family would be my next choice.

Good luck!
